No. iPhones are built around MagSafe magnets. Magnets can affect hotel key cards and older magnetic-stripe credit cards, so don’t sandwich those between your phone and the mount.
Not reliably. You need either a case with a magnet ring or an adhesive metal plate stuck to the back of your case. A plain silicone or clear case will let the phone slide off.
Apple has warned that sustained high-amplitude vibration — particularly from motorcycle engines — can degrade optical image stabilisation. Bicycle vibration is far lower risk, but on rough terrain a vibration-dampening mount is the safer choice.
Vent mounts are cheaper, easier to move between cars, and don’t leave adhesive behind. They’re a poor fit for round or vertical vents, which is the main compatibility failure to check before ordering.
