OMOTON C2 Aluminum Desk Stand
Home/iPhone/Mounts & Stands/UGREEN Magnetic Desk Stand
Pick this up and you’d guess it cost a lot more. UGREEN’s Magnetic Desk Stand is mostly anodised aluminium, with a weighted base that doesn’t tip, a magnet that holds the phone firmly, and a head that swivels and tilts for video calls, StandBy or watching.
All that for $15.99. The catch owners run into is the one plastic part, at the base, which some say cracked after several months.

One-sentence verdict: Buy it if you have a MagSafe iPhone and want a solid, adjustable desk stand for video calls, StandBy or watching without spending much; skip it if your case isn’t magnetic and you don’t want a stick-on ring, or you need a stand that survives being knocked about.

Aluminium build, a heavy base and a strong magnet — for about ten dollars.

Nearly all of it is anodised aluminium: a round weighted base, a two-piece neck that adjusts for height, and a magnetic head with a soft silicone face. It looks and feels well above its price.
The one part that isn’t aluminium is the plastic at the base joint. That’s exactly where the owner reports of cracking after several months come in, and it’s a real weak spot in an otherwise solid design.
Snap a MagSafe iPhone, or a case with a magnet ring, onto the head. Then set the height, turn the base and swivel the head to the angle you want. No magnets? Stick a ring on first.
Stability is excellent. Thanks to the weighted base, it doesn’t tip over when you poke the screen.
The magnet holds strongly at roughly 1,600 g, and the range of adjustment covers every angle you’d actually use, whether that’s upright for a call, sideways for a film or tilted back on the bedside table for StandBy at night. It’s built for a phone, though, not a tablet.

The metal parts hold up. The plastic in the base is the documented failure point, with a cluster of reports at around seven months. UGREEN’s warranty, stated as at least two years, covers that, and UGREEN generally honours claims, so a cracked base gets replaced instead of being the end of the stand.
At $15.99, and often less on sale, this is one of the best-value accessories we cover. It regularly costs less than stands that are visibly worse made.
One real caveat. That plastic base is where owner complaints cluster, and even allowing for it, the stand is hard to argue against at $15.99 with a two-year warranty if you use MagSafe. At $10 or less, roughly its usual street price, it’s a clear buy.

| Product | Best for | Key advantage | Main drawback | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UGREEN Magnetic Desk Stand (this stand) | A cheap, solid, adjustable MagSafe desk stand | Aluminium build, strong magnet, $15.99, 2-year warranty | Base plastic can crack after months | $15.99 |
| TORRAS 2025 Flagship 360 Grip Ring | A grip and stand that stays on the phone | 2-sided magnet, doubles as a grip, folds flat | Lower prop height than a desk stand | $26.99 |
| Aulumu G09 Magnetic Ring Grip | A premium metal grip/stand | Aerospace aluminium, dual-axis ball joint | Much more expensive; magnet strength mixed | $45.98 |
Want the stand to go everywhere on the back of your phone instead of staying on the desk? A magnetic grip ring like the TORRAS 360 or the Aulumu G09 does that. For the desk? This UGREEN.
For $15.99, this stand punches way above its weight. It’s mostly anodised aluminium, the weighted base means it won’t tip, the magnet holds firmly at around 1,600 g, and it swivels and adjusts to any angle you’d want for calls or StandBy. Nearly 3,000 Amazon buyers give it an average of 4.4 stars.
Its one real flaw is the plastic at the base joint, which a cluster of owners say cracked after several months. UGREEN’s two-year warranty covers that. Hassle, not lost money. If you use MagSafe and want a good desk stand cheaply, it’s an easy pick.
