It’s a single piece of folded brushed aluminium, with a base, a back support and a front lip that has a cutout for a cable. Silicone pads sit on the base and on the lip.
Heavier than it looks. Deliberately. The weight sits in the base, so a phone leaning back in landscape doesn’t pull it over. Fit and finish are well above what you’d expect at this price.
Put it on a desk, lean the phone against the back with its bottom edge in the front lip, and run a charging cable through the cutout if you want one, and you’re done, with nothing to assemble, adjust or tighten. It holds a phone with or without a case, upright or sideways.
It does everything you would ask of a desk stand, and it does all of it without wobbling, sliding or tipping, which is more than a lot of cheaper stands manage once a phone is leaning back in landscape.
It’s steady for video calls and for watching, and steady enough that you can tap the screen without the stand creeping across the desk. The viewing angle is comfortable.
