What we collect when you visit tinytechbox.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated September 26, 2026.
Tiny Tech Box runs tinytechbox.com, a site that reviews and compares phone accessories. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Tiny Tech Box. If you have a question about your data, email hello@tinytechbox.com.
When you browse. Like almost every website, our server receives your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page that linked you here and the time of your visit. Our host, Hostinger, keeps these server logs to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Analytics. Google Analytics tells us which pages people read, roughly where visitors are (country and city, never your address), what device they use, how they found us and which product buttons get clicked. We use it to decide what to review and what to update. We don’t combine it with anything that identifies you by name.
Comments. If you comment on a news post, we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser details to help catch spam. Your email address is never published. WordPress may send a scrambled version of your email address (a hash) to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy.
When you email us. We keep your email address and message so we can reply.
We never ask for payment details or passwords, and we don’t collect your precise location.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. These are set when you visit tinytechbox.com:
Retailers such as Amazon may set their own cookies after you click through to them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of personalised ads from many other companies at aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu in Europe. You’ll still see ads, but they won’t be based on your interests. To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Tiny Tech Box earns from qualifying purchases. We also earn from TORRAS purchases through the impact.com partner network.
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or network records that your visit came from us, usually with a cookie. Third parties, including Amazon, may provide content and advertising on this site, collect information directly from visitors, and place or read cookies in your browser. We only receive reports of orders and commissions. We never see your name, address or payment details.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll see a consent message from Google. Google’s consent tool is certified under the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. Choose Consent to allow personalised ads, or Manage options to pick exactly what you allow, including turning everything off. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy and cookie settings link on the site.
If you don’t consent, Google may still show ads that aren’t personalised. Some cookies may still be used to limit repeat ads and prevent fraud.
If you’re covered by the GDPR or the UK GDPR, we rely on:
Our links to Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are plain links. Those sites only get data from you if you click through, and their own privacy policies apply there.
Some of these companies process data outside your country, including in the United States. They protect it with legal safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to limit or object to how we use it, or to send you a copy. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@tinytechbox.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
If you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK, that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Some US state laws treat advertising cookies as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted ads. To opt out, turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings or block third-party cookies in your browser.
This site isn’t meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.
If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
For questions or requests about your privacy, email hello@tinytechbox.com.
Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, Tiny Tech Box earns from qualifying purchases. Recommendations are based on our own research and scoring, described in full on our How We Score page.
