Privacy screen protectors are a trade. You stop the person next to you on the train from reading your messages, and in return your own screen gets dimmer.
If you’ve decided that’s worth it, this is the one we’d buy. Spigen’s EZ FIT frame makes it almost impossible to install badly, the filter does block side viewers, and the glass sits cleanly under a slim case.

One-sentence verdict: Buy it if you really want a privacy filter, want the easiest install there is and can live with a dimmer screen; skip it if you don’t need privacy, care about maximum brightness or want one sheet to last for years.

The EZ FIT frame makes install trivial; the privacy tint does what privacy tints do.

It’s full-coverage tempered glass with a micro-louver privacy layer, and it comes with Spigen’s snap-on EZ FIT frame.
That frame is the reason to pay for Spigen over a cheaper privacy protector, because it takes all the skill out of installation. The glass and border are clean and well made. Any compromises live in the privacy layer itself, and they’re the same compromises you’d get from any filter of this type.
Clean the screen, snap the frame onto the phone, drop the protector in and peel off the top film, and that’s the whole job. If you’ve ever ruined a screen protector by laying it down a millimetre off, you’ll appreciate how little room this leaves for error.
Installation is the best you’ll find, and the privacy filter does exactly what it promises: tilt the phone away from the person beside you and the screen goes dark for them while it stays readable for you.
You pay for that privacy in two ways. The screen is dimmer, so you end up running it brighter than you used to, and some owners notice a slight grain or pixelation looking through the filter. There’s also visible light leaking from the sides at certain angles. Touch response isn’t affected at all.
Durability is where opinions split.

Not compatible:
Some owners get years out of it, while a real share report it cracking early. Spigen has a limited warranty through its support team, and if the pack includes a second protector (check the quantity on the listing), an early crack is a lot less annoying.
At $22.99, it’s priced like a premium privacy protector, and the EZ FIT frame earns at least part of that premium, because a protector you install crookedly on the first try is money wasted no matter how cheap it was.
Want privacy and hate fiddly installs? Then this is the one. If you don’t need privacy, buy a clear protector and keep your brightness. For someone who does want the filter, we think it’s fairly priced at anything under about $18.

| Product | Best for | Key advantage | Main drawback | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spigen GlasTR EZ FIT Privacy (this protector) | A privacy filter with the easiest install | Best-in-class EZ FIT frame, privacy works | Dims the screen; some grain; durability mixed | $22.99 |
| TORRAS Uncrackable 9H+ Privacy (2-Pack) | Privacy plus a spare, full-space fit | Two sheets, stylish edge, notch-free look | Same brightness trade; durability mixed | $34.99 |
| ESR Armorite Screen Protector (3-Pack) | A clear protector if you do not need privacy | $21.99 a sheet, no brightness penalty | No privacy filter | $21.99 |
Want privacy and a spare in the box? The TORRAS Uncrackable 2-pack is the alternative to look at. And if you’ve realised you don’t need privacy after all, skip the tint and get a clear ESR 3-pack.
If you want a privacy protector, buy this one. The frame makes the install close to foolproof, the filter blocks side viewers the way it should, and it doesn’t fight with a slim case.
Just go in knowing what privacy glass costs you, because the screen will be dimmer and you’ll turn the brightness up, light leaks at an angle, some people see a faint grain, and durability reports are split. Those are the trade-offs of the whole category, and Spigen handles them about as well as anyone. If you need privacy, get this, and if you don’t, get a clear protector.

No. The EZ FIT frame lines itself up, and it’s the easiest install method in the category.
Some owners notice a slight grain or pixelation through the privacy layer. It’s a known side effect of micro-louver filters.
Check the size on the listing. This one covers the iPhone 17 Pro, 17 and 16 Pro, and Spigen sells other sizes separately.
Usually two protectors plus the frame, but check the quantity on the listing before you buy.
No. You’d be giving up brightness for nothing, so buy a clear protector and keep your screen as bright as it was.
