Apple’s rumored folding iPhone could bring an expansive screen without abandoning magnetic charging. MacRumors reported on September 1 that Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expects MagSafe support, citing his interview with Tom’s Guide. The report matters because earlier dummy units lacked a visible magnetic ring, while leaked cases suggested otherwise.

A different kind of premium iPhone

That coverage describes a roughly 5.5-inch outer display, a 7.8-inch inner screen, and a short, wide folding body. It also lists Touch ID and two rear cameras, with no telephoto, among the rumored compromises. None is an Apple-confirmed specification.

Do not turn estimates into dimensions

Published coverage is not fully consistent on the inner screen size: a September 5 report from 9to5Mac describes 7.6 inches, while MacRumors gives approximately 7.8. The appropriate conclusion is that the exact size is unsettled. We should not use either number to certify accessory fit.
