Separate tempered-glass discs with a black metal rim, each sized to a lens, plus a plastic alignment jig. The build is clean and the rims look like part of the phone rather than an add-on. The anti-reflective coating is there to minimise the one real drawback of lens glass — reflections in night shots.
Peel the backing, seat the jig over the camera bump, and press each ring down. It is about as foolproof as phone-accessory installation gets, and owner reports of bubbles or misalignment are rare.
For a lens protector, performance is fit, install ease, optical impact and case compatibility. Fit and install are excellent. Optical impact is minimal in normal use; the honest caveat is that any lens glass can introduce a faint flare around bright point lights at night, and ESR’s coating reduces but does not eliminate that.
