A compact white brick with a single USB-C port and a fixed two-prong plug. It is unremarkable and solidly built, with Google’s recycled-materials angle in the construction. There is nothing to it beyond the port.
Plug it in, add your own USB-C cable — a 5A one for the fastest speeds — and it negotiates the right profile. On a Pixel that means the phone’s full rated rate; on other devices it behaves as a standard 45W PD charger.
This is the whole story. On a top Pixel, third-party chargers have been repeatedly measured topping out well below the phone’s rated speed, while this charger reaches it — Google appears to gate the fastest tier to its own brick. The “45W” on the label is nominal; the phone draws roughly 27W on standard models and up to around 37W on the Pro XL. Independent tests (Android Authority, 9to5Google) put a Pro XL near two-thirds charged in half an hour with it. On non-Pixel devices it is simply a competent 45W charger.

If you own a Pixel Pro XL and want its full speed, buy Google’s charger — it is the only one that delivers it. For any other Pixel, a third-party 45W brick like the Anker Nano or the Samsung 45W (which includes a cable) does the same job for similar or less money.
