Here’s an odd thing about Google’s top Pixels. They only charge at their full rated wired speed on Google’s own charger, and every third-party brick that independent testers have tried caps them lower.
So if you own a Pixel Pro XL, this $26.97 charger is less optional than it looks. Own any other Pixel? Then this is just a charger.

A compact white brick with one USB-C port and a fixed two-prong plug, built partly from recycled materials. Plain and solid. Nothing else to describe.
Plug it in and add your own USB-C cable, a 5A one if you want the fastest speeds. It works out the right charging profile by itself, which on a Pixel means the phone’s full rated speed and on anything else means behaving like a standard 45W PD charger.
This is the whole story. Independent testers have measured third-party chargers again and again topping out well below a top Pixel’s rated speed, while this one gets there, and it looks like Google reserves its fastest charging tier for its own brick.
Ignore the “45W” on the label. In practice the phone draws around 27W on the standard models and up to about 37W on the Pro XL, and Android Authority and 9to5Google both found that this charger takes a Pro XL to roughly two-thirds full in half an hour. Away from Pixels, you have a competent 45W charger.

Google’s own accessories have a good reliability record, and a 4.7-star average supports that, even if the sample is still fairly small. Google gives it a limited warranty, and since the Amazon listing leaves out the length, check it before you buy.
At $26.97 without a cable, it’s priced like a premium single-port charger. An Anker Nano 65W costs $29.99 and has more headroom, and Samsung’s 45W brick is $24.49 with a cable included.
Worth the money? That depends entirely on your phone. On a Pixel Pro XL, this is the only way to reach the phone’s full rated speed, and that makes the price easy to justify. On a smaller Pixel, a cheaper third-party 45W charger with a cable is the smarter buy.

Own a Pixel Pro XL and want its full speed? Buy Google’s charger, because nothing else delivers it. For any other Pixel, a third-party 45W brick like the Anker Nano, or Samsung’s 45W charger with its included cable, does the same job for similar money or less.
On its own, this is a plain, well-made brick. What makes it interesting is that on a top-tier Pixel, it’s the only charger anyone has measured reaching the phone’s full rated wired speed, with third-party PPS chargers all capping the Pro XL lower. If you own that phone and care how long charging takes, this is effectively the charger to buy.
For every other Pixel, that advantage disappears. A cheaper third-party 45W charger, ideally one that comes with a cable since this doesn’t, is better value. Match the charger to the phone: if it’s a Pro XL, buy Google’s, and if it’s anything else, don’t bother.
