Plug the cable into your own wall adapter, then bring the Pixel near it — on a Pixel 11 or 10 the magnets pull it into alignment; on a Pixel 9 you first need a magnetic case. It starts charging immediately. Nothing to configure.
The magnetic hold is firm and the alignment is automatic on the newer Pixels, which is the main win over a flat pad. Charging speed is reasonable for magnetic wireless.
