Most fast 3-in-1 chargers are desk stands. ESR’s foldable takes the same idea (25W Qi2.2 iPhone charging with a cooling fan, plus an Apple Watch charger and an AirPods pad) and shrinks it to about the size of a deck of cards.
It’s built for travel first, and that explains both what’s good about it and what isn’t.

One-sentence verdict: The best-packing 25W 3-in-1 for someone with an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, with the 50W adapter in the box; it’s light enough to tip over on a nightstand, and it’s priced like a premium desk station.

Folded, it is a flat plastic slab small enough to slip into a jacket pocket, or into the gap at the side of a laptop bag where nothing else ever quite fits.
Unfold it and the phone pad tilts up into a stand, the Apple Watch charger flips out, and there’s an AirPods pad in the base. The watch charger is part of the body, not a detachable puck, which Packhacker’s reviewer counted as a plus over ESR’s older travel set, since there’s nothing to leave behind in a hotel room.
The hinge is stiff, which is good. Packhacker found it sturdy enough to reposition all day, and one owner says it takes two hands to fold, which is what you want from something that’ll get thrown in a bag. It’s plastic, though, and one owner worries about scuffs in luggage.
Plug in the included 50W adapter, unfold it and drop your devices on. Magnets line the iPhone up in portrait or landscape. StandBy works.
When a phone attaches, the cooling fan starts by itself. Packhacker heard only a faint hum in a silent room, and a button on the side turns it off at night.
On a 25W-capable iPhone, it charges about as fast as wireless charging gets. ESR claims an iPhone 17 or 17 Pro reaches 60% in 30 minutes, and owners call it fast, with one reporting roughly 20% to 50% in half an hour.
The fan is what separates it from cheaper Qi2 chargers. ESR says it keeps the phone 6.5°F cooler on average, and wireless charging slows down less when the phone stays cool.
Magnet strength gets mixed reviews: some owners find the phone holds firmly, others wish it were stronger. Stability matters more. One owner who otherwise likes it says it’s easy to tip over on a nightstand, simply because it’s so small.

Not compatible:
On sale since late 2025, it has a mostly clean record, and most owners report no problems. One says the phone charger died after four months of nightly use. The watch and AirPods pads kept going. Packhacker also pointed out that the fan is a moving part, and moving parts can get louder over time. ESR’s 12-month protection plan applies, and registering extends it to 24 months.
It’s not cheap. At $99.99, the money goes on the 25W speed, the fan, the built-in watch charger and the 50W adapter. Travel often with all three Apple devices? Then it’s money well spent, because you’re replacing three separate chargers and a wall plug with one thing that folds flat and goes in a pocket. If it’s going to live on your nightstand, the full-size ESR desk station costs the same and is steadier, and Anker’s MagGo 3-in-1 is cheaper.

| Product | Best for | Key advantage | Main drawback | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ESR CryoBoost Foldable 3-in-1 (25W) (this review) | Frequent travellers with an iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods who want one charger in the bag | Folds to 4.33 × 2.44 × 0.62 in and weighs about 185 g. It disappears in a bag | Light and narrow, so it’s easier to knock over on a nightstand than a desk stand | $99.99 |
| ESR CryoBoost 3-in-1 Charging Station (25W, Qi2.2) | A charger that stays on the nightstand | Heavier and steadier, detachable watch charger, Macworld’s fastest tested | Doesn’t fold; fixed angle | $99.99 |
| Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Qi2 Charging Station | Lower-cost desk 3-in-1 | Cheaper and well proven | Not as fast as 25W with cooling | $69.99 |
Travelling with all three? Get the ESR foldable. If it’ll stay at home, buy ESR’s full-size CryoBoost station instead: same price, steadier, and the fastest wireless charger Macworld has tested. Anker’s MagGo costs less if you can live without the fan.
For Apple owners who travel, this is the charger to get. It packs the fastest wireless charging an iPhone supports, a built-in Apple Watch charger and an AirPods pad into something pocket-sized, and with the adapter included, there’s nothing else to buy.
Its trade-offs come from the size and the price: it’s lighter and less stable than a desk stand, yet it costs the same as ESR’s full-size station. Never going to pack it? Buy the desk version.
