This is the clear case in its purest form. There’s a hard polycarbonate back, a softer TPU frame with thickened Air Cushion corners, and a MagFit ring moulded into the back.
Well made, too, with tight tolerances, clean cutouts and no rough edges anywhere. Spigen’s newer anti-yellowing plastic resists the amber tint that ruined older clear cases, although heat and sunlight will get there eventually, and the only real design complaint is that the glossy back is slick.
It’s one piece, on in seconds and off with a corner peel.
Once it’s on, you’ll mostly forget about it. It’s thin enough that the phone feels much the same, and thanks to the MagFit ring, MagSafe chargers and wallets land in the right spot without any fiddling.
The fit on the iPhone 17 Pro Max is precise.
Protection is everyday-grade. The corners and raised lip handle tumbles and drops from desk height, but there’s no published drop rating and no multi-layer structure, so don’t mistake it for a rugged case.
