The bumper is a thin aluminium frame that wraps the Ultra’s titanium case, with precise openings for the crown, Action button and side button. It keeps the watch’s shape and adds very little thickness, and in black it pairs naturally with a black Ultra. The two Armorite protectors are separate tempered-glass pieces that go on the display before the case.
ESR designed it to fit without taking the band off, and that holds up: glass first, then the frame. The magnetic charger still connects normally with the case fitted, so it can stay on day to day. The glass is the fiddlier part, and the second protector is there for a bad first attempt.
Against scrapes and knocks the metal frame is effective, and the Armorite glass keeps chips off the sapphire. ESR rates the glass to 110 lb of pressure, which is a manufacturer figure. What it will not do is soak up a hard drop the way a thick TPU bumper does. Owners who have dropped it trail running report the frame coming through without deforming, but that is a small number of stories.

The aluminium scuffs and scratches at the corners over time, which is the case sacrificing itself. The recurring durability complaint is glass adhesion — protectors that lift or come off. ESR does not list a warranty on the Amazon listing, and this item is sold by Minghutech-US rather than Amazon.
At $18.99 on Amazon (checked Oct 11, 2026) for a metal case and two glass protectors, it costs about what a single name-brand protector pack does elsewhere.
That is good value if you want the whole watch covered and like the metal look. If you only want the glass, the ESR Armorite pack alone is a few dollars cheaper.

The ESR aluminium case with Armorite is the tidiest way to protect a whole Ultra. It looks like it belongs on the watch, it keeps your band, and the pair of glass protectors covers the display.
The reservations are the metal and the glue. Aluminium scuffs and does not cushion a hard drop, and the protectors do not always stay put. It is a scrape-and-scratch solution, not a rugged one.
