The Zolo is a smooth-sided plastic brick, lighter than its size suggests, with two braided cables running along the body and clipping into place. Both cables loop out to form a carry strap. The chassis feels sturdy and the cables are the reinforced kind Anker rates for thousands of bends. It is clearly a bag bank — too big and heavy for a pocket.
There is nothing to set up. Unclip a cable, plug it into a device, press the button. The built-in USB-C handles 45W; the built-in Lightning handles a legacy iPhone or AirPods case. The extra USB-C and USB-A ports are there for a second or third device.
