Two braided-nylon cables with moulded strain relief at the connectors and a hook-and-loop tie. The braid is the durability story — it does not fray at the ends the way rubber cables do, and the 12,000-bend rating is a real number Anker publishes and stands behind. There is nothing to fault at the price.

For a charging cable, performance is power delivery, data speed, connector fit and flex. Power delivery at 60W charges any phone at full speed and trickles a light laptop.
